CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery took home a gold medal at the annual European Beer Star Competition in Germany.
This marks the second time the Charlotte brewer’s Mecktoberfest was awarded top honors in the German-style Märzen category. The brew is a Märzen-style amber lager, representative of an original Oktoberfest beer.
Its seasonal Mecktoberfest brew was selected out of more than 2,000 beers from 42 countries.
