Charlotte businesses give out nearly 600 turkey dinners to local families

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hundreds of families will be able to have a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving thanks to a food drive in west Charlotte Sunday.

It’s part of a partnership between Master Kutz Barbershop and Po Boy’s Low Country Seafood Market.

This is their fourth turkey drive, but this year, they weren’t sure if it would happen.

“We were actually fortunate to get close to that 600 number again because as of last week, it only looked like we were gonna do 150,” said John Demestihas with Po Boy’s Low Country Seafood Market.

Thankfully the Charlotte Rescue Mission came through with hundreds of turkeys, and they were able to give out nearly 600 turkey dinners on Sunday.
