CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Thirsty travelers are getting a traditional Southern drink from officials at Charlotte Douglas International Airport to soothe their parched palates.
The airport is marking National Iced Tea Day on Wednesday by serving sweet and unsweet iced tea to passengers for free.
Tea will be served beginning at 2 p.m. in the main atrium outside the entrance to Concourse B. It's part of the airport's "TLC from CLT" customer appreciation event designed to thank customers and extends its Southern hospitality to passengers.
Members of the airport's leadership team will be on hand to serve iced tea and greet customers.
