CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Looking for love this Valentine’s Day? Just don’t look for encouragement from Apartment List, whose ranking of “The Best & Worst Cities for Dating 2020” drops Charlotte to No. 28 from its lofty spot at No. 2 last year.

Provo, Utah, took the top spot on this year’s ranking. Raleigh, at No. 3, was the only North Carolina metro to crack the top 10.

The website used survey data from more than 11,000 of its single users, asking them: “How would you rate your current city or neighborhood for opportunities to date?”
