CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Another retailer of young women's apparel and accessories could close its Charlotte location amid bankruptcy proceedings.

The Forever 21 store at Northlake Mall is among three locations in North Carolina that could shutter, according to a list tied to the Los Angeles-based retailer's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
Forever 21 on Sunday filed for bankruptcy protection as part of a strategy that calls for a global restructuring.
The north Charlotte location is one of 178 "underperforming" stores that Forever 21 says could shut down, though the company notes in its Oct. 1 filing that it doesn't expect to close all 178 sites.
