CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Water is working to fix a problem that saw a handful of customers being overcharged, some by as much as $200.
The utility told Channel 9 it set up a new billing system last week but encountered a problem with the autopay system.
In total, 385 customers paid the wrong amount for their bills -- some paid less whereas others paid more.
