CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials confirmed a 4-month-old boy has died more than a month after a deadly house fire in east Charlotte.
Four people have now died as a result of the fire on Academy Street back in January.
A 2-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy and the children’s mother had already passed away from their injuries.
Channel 9 spoke to the children’s father after flames ripped through the home in the early morning hours on Jan. 2. He said he feared he would lose his entire family.
Officials said the fire was accidental and caused by unattended candles.
