CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man died Saturday night when he was struck by a car on Sunset Road, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
Officials said at about 8 p.m., Rashad Roseboro, 27, was hit by a 2002 Honda Accord while he was trying to cross the street.
Witnesses told detectives a second car may have hit Roseboro after the first wreck.
Roseboro was not in a marked crosswalk at the time, officials said.
The Honda driver, Devan Carter-Whittington, 19, stopped after the crash and spoke to police.
Officers said speed and alcohol are not factors.
Anyone with information about a white sedan that may have been involved should contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or Detective R.C. Gormican at 704-432-2169.
