CHARLOTTE — Police are looking for a car in connection with an attempted kidnapping that happened over the weekend in southeast Charlotte.
Investigators said a charcoal gray Toyota Scion was seen around 11 a.m. on Sunday along Thermal Road, approaching a child. Someone inside the car threatened to hurt the girl unless she got inside the vehicle, police said.

She ran away and was not hurt.
The car was last seen on Monroe Road near Idlewild Road.
