Coastal Carolina University on lockdown

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Coastal Carolina University is on lockdown while police search for a shooter Tuesday night.

The school spokeswoman said someone opened fire just after 7 p.m. at a student housing complex.

One person was shot and taken to the hospital.

Police believe they were looking for just one person, but they do not have a description.
