Commuters go pantless for prank and charity Sunday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Anyone riding Charlotte's light rail Sunday was in for a surprise.

Dozens of people hit the tracks, but left their pants behind.

This group showed up for what's turned into an international prank.

It started 12 years ago when a group of guys decided to ride New York's subways without their pants.

This year, Charlotte got in on the act and turned it into a fundraiser for the needy.

Police were standing by in case anyone got out of hand or took the prank too far.
