Concord police: Thief broke into Hobby Lobby through roof

CONCORD, N.C. — Concord police are looking for the person who broke into a Hobby Lobby store through the roof and stole more than $13,000.

Channel 9's partners at the Independent Tribune reported that the robbery happened Sunday while the store on Supercenter Drive NE was closed.

Officers are looking into whether the crime is related to a similar burglary at another Hobby Lobby in Rock Hill this month.

Police said the suspect also climbed in through the roof in that case and stole from a safe.
