Couple welcomes first baby of new year at Atrium Health-Pineville

CHARLOTTE — Joshua and Maria Lewis welcomed their firstborn into the world at 12:42 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Aiden Michael Lewis weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces and was the first baby born in 2020 at Atrium Health-Pineville.

The parents drove from Clover, S.C. to Atrium Health-Pineville where the baby was delivered via C section.

In the video at the top of this webpage, anchor Blaine Tolison spoke with the proud parents at the hospital about the unexpected delivery.
