CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emergency responders received a call at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday that someone threw something into Little Sugar Creek near East 18th and North Davidson Street in Charlotte.
Surveillance footage from a nearby home captured a vehicle stopping on the bridge at that time, but the video was not clear enough to show what happened or what the license plate was on the vehicle.
Crews searched the the creek and are not certain that there was a person in the water.
The search was suspended Wednesday morning but crews will return to the area Thursday morning.
