CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Crime Stoppers officials said they paid a tipster more than $17,000 for information that led to one of the men accused of killing a 7-Eleven clerk.
Geoffrey Ford and Treyvonte Lockhart were charged in the death of Khaled Elmerkabaoui.
They shot him at the west Charlotte convenience store in December, even after he gave them everything they wanted, police said.
