Decision looms on developer’s plans for large Huntersville site

Foundry Foundry has already won a key endorsement. (Charlotte Business Journal.)

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Foundry Commercial’s plans to build onto its Huntersville industrial footprint are nearing a critical point.

Huntersville’s board of commissioners is scheduled on Aug. 21 to consider a potential decision on Foundry’s rezoning request to allow up to 750,000 square feet of new industrial space on Everette Keith Road. The developer is seeking to rezone a 60-acre site for the project. The land is adjacent to Foundry’s existing Bryton Commerce Center project that was completed earlier this year.

The meeting, should a decision be made there, would mark the culmination of a weeks-long public process to consider approval of the rezoning request.

Foundry has already won a key endorsement.
