STATESVILLE, N.C. — One person was killed in a construction accident in Iredell County Friday morning, EMS officials told Channel 9.
Emergency responders were called to the 1200 block of Old Mountain Road in Statesville around 11:30 a.m. and found one person dead.
Chopper 9 flew over the scene, and it appeared a backhoe was involved in the accident.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, and officials have not released the victim’s name.
