LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A Lincoln County man is facing a number of charges after deputies said he sexually assaulted and attacked a woman who he held captive in his home over Valentine’s Day weekend.

Deputies said they were called to a home on Barsdale Lane in Lincolnton after a woman ran to another house and asked the resident to call 911 because she was being held against her will. The woman stayed with the caller until deputies got there.

The victim told investigators that she had gone to 61-year-old Randy Rinck, Sr.’s home on Saturday night to visit. While together, she told deputies that she and Rinck went riding around and Rinck began drinking alcohol and started assaulting her.
