CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library has already collected thousands of books as part of our 9 Books for Kids drive thanks to the community’s donations.
One of our most loyal donors came through once again Friday at the Matthews branch.
Adhvik Pradeep, 8, has been collecting books for our book drive since he was in kindergarten.
The second grader said he wants to make sure everyone has a chance to read.
“So, I went around my neighborhood and other neighborhoods, and I collected books from them,” Adhvik said.
Friday was the last day of the collection, but books can still be dropped off at any Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library location this weekend.
The library will then sort all the books to distribute to kids in the community.
