UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Dozens of parents fighting a plan to shuffle students to different schools showed up to a meeting they knew they wouldn't be allowed in Tuesday night.
Union County School Board members had a workshop to talk about a highly controversial redistricting plan.
Even though the district said decision is because of overcrowding, many parents say their concerns aren't being heard.
"We want a conversation, we want to be involved, we want to help," Marni Setless, a parent.
Parents will get a chance to speak at two public hearings on Thursday and Monday.
