Documents offer hints at development around casino site in Kings Mountain

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Another step is being taken for the Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort project in Kings Mountain, this time with the potential rezoning of surrounding land for development.

On Tuesday evening, the Kings Mountain City Council will hold public hearings to consider rezoning requests for two sites owned by separate entities — Let’s Roll Holdings LLC and E5 Holdings LLC — that are affiliated with casino developer Wallace Cheves. City documents regarding these sites provide a look into what some of the casino’s surrounding development could look like.

Let’s Roll Holdings purchased a 118-acre site near the casino in September and is now seeking to rezone 82.7 acres of that. Documents show that Cheves is planning residential development there, including both single-family homes and multifamily units.
