Dog found stuck in SC mud gets renamed 'Muddy Waters'

CHARLESTON, S.C. — A dog that got stuck in some mud in South Carolina now has a very appropriate name.

The dog was found in what is called a "pluff mud."

The mud is described as smelly, gooey mud found in parts of the state.

The Charleston Animal Society took the dog in and cleaned it up. They said it took hours.

The dog has been renamed "Muddy Waters."

Officials said they have not been able to find its owner.
