DAVIDSON, N.C. — A Davidson police officer was injured after a dog attack Thursday evening, according to officials.
Officials said the dog broke away from its owner and attacked a woman.
The officer, who was nearby, tried to help the woman and the dog bit the officer in the face and the hand, according to authorities.
The officer then shot and killed the dog.
Officials said the officer and the woman should be OK.
