GASTONIA — A Gastonia motorcycle police officer was involved in an accident on Sunday with another vehicle.
Police did not say how the crash happened and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Channel 9's partners at the Gaston Gazette were reporting that officer suffered a fractured elbow and knee injury.
The driver who hit the officer was charged with unsafe movement.
Neither the driver nor the officer's names were released.
