MATTHEWS, N.C. — A driver crashed into a Matthews restaurant after police said the person accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.
The car drove into the dining room at Pie five Pizza Co. on Matthews Township Parkway late Friday afternoon.
A woman went to the hospital with minor injuries after her husband pushed her out of the way.
