GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Duke Energy officials said they are planning on raising the water level of Mountain Island Lake in Gaston and Mecklenburg counties.
Officials said they are planning to raise the level to 102 feet. Duke Energy is advising residents along Mountain Island Lake and downstream to take measurements to protect themselves and their property.
The water level is currently at 97.8 feet.
