Why some still wear masks outdoors after easing of COVID-19 restrictions

CHARLOTTE — More restrictions could be lifted on June 1 in North Carolina as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to be manageable.

Last week, the state lifted some gathering limits and the outdoor mask requirement, but many continue to wear them in situations when health experts said it is safe to be without them.
