SALISBURY, N.C. — While the Kannapolis Fire Department was helping with the fire at the Grimes Mill Museum in Salisbury overnight, another fire broke out.
Volunteer firefighters helped knock down flames at a home on Charleston Avenue, off Charlie Walker Road.
They said it started in a chimney around 1 a.m.
Firefighters were able to keep it from spreading.
Three people were inside and got out safely.
