Firefighters battle overnight blaze at renovated Watauga Co. home

WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. — Firefighters had to battle a huge house fire in Watauga County early Tuesday morning.

Channel 9's news partner, GoBlueRidge.net reported the house caught fire around 3 a.m. on Dutch Creek Road in Valle Crucis.

Officials said nobody was inside the house and that it was being renovated for sale.

No one was hurt and investigators are looking for the cause.
