School Delays
- Ashe County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday.
- Avery County Schools will be on a three-hour delay on Tuesday.
- Watauga County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday.
FORECAST:
There will be a Winter Weather Advisory for Avery, Ashe, and Watauga counties until 4 p.m.
- Tonight will be clear with a low of around 30 degrees.
- Tomorrow will be sunny with highs in the low-50s.
- A major rainmaker will move into the region after that.
- There is the threat of heavy rain and high winds on Wednesday.
- Showers will develop early and continue throughout the day.
- Thunderstorms are possible.
- Starting Thursday, calm conditions return.
