Gastonia police arrest man in hit and run

GASTONIA, N.C. — A person was struck in a parking lot Friday morning, Gastonia police officials said.

The driver did not realize anyone was behind the car and panicked when he hit her, according to police.

He drove away, but officials have arrested him. His name has not been released.

The woman did not suffering any major injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital.
