Gold coin dropped into Salvation Army kettle in Tega Cay

TEGA CAY, S.C. — An anonymous person dropped off a gold coin in a Salvation Army kettle at the Walmart in Tega Cay.

The donation was a 1980 South African Krugerrand coin worth $1,200.

The coin will likely be sold, with proceeds going to the Salvation Army.
