CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A Great Falls man shot another man Thursday on Richburg Road, according to a report by the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived at the scene and saw a man on the ground by a vehicle when Stephen A. Collins, 25, approached them.
Collins said he was attacked.
A deputy noticed the man on the ground, Brandon Jones, had a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The deputy performed CPR until paramedics arrived, but Jones later died.
At the scene, Dustin Lowery told authorities he drove Jones to the scene when Collins opened fire into the vehicle.

Lowery escaped, but he saw Jones collapse outside of the vehicle onto the ground.
Collins was charged with murder.
