Diane Kulik lost her husband in January, and she asked that all donations in his memory go toward a new Greenville Police Department K-9 officer.
The widow said her husband’s love for the community and law enforcement made the decision easy.

Within two months, Kulik raised $7,000, and Axle will soon be ready to help protect the community.
Axle’s handler, Officer Bradley Nunnery, said, "If we have that extra resource it's just that much less that one person has to do, and it'll be a second dog that we can utilize to hopefully catch criminals and help the community as best we can."
