CHARLOTTE — A large police presence has shut down part of East Independence Boulevard in east Charlotte late tonight.
The scene is centered near Margaret Wallace Road, between East W.T. Harris Boulevard and Village Lake Drive.
Officers have blocked multiple lanes as they investigate, and details about what led to the response have not yet been released.
