How to get to PRIDE
The best way to be rid of traffic concerns is to ride Charlotte’s public transportation into Uptown.
The map of the festival zone and parade route shows some LYNX blue line stops along College Street.
The lightrail conveniently stops just one street down from festivities:
- Brooklyn Village Station
- 3rd Street Station
- Charlotte Transportation Center
- 7th Street Station
Lightrail passengers can park at the stations north and south of Uptown and ride the lightrail into Center City.
CATS adjusted the CityLYNX Gold Line schedule effective Saturday, the first day of pride. Moving forward, the Gold Line will run every 30 minutes instead of every 20 minutes.
CATS said the temporary change is due to staffing constraints and summer events.
Using a rideshare application like Uber and Lyft is always an option, but make sure to plan a drop-off location that is not on Tryon Street.
Parking
If you choose to drive to Uptown, be prepared to spend upwards of $20 for parking garage access.
Many garages are already sold out, according to Parkwhiz.
Here are some parking garages that may be available for public parking this weekend:
- Mint and W 1st Street: Catalyst Uptown Parking Deck
- Mint and S Graham Street: Mint Street Parking Deck
- College and E Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard: One Wells Fargo Center Garage
- College and E 4th Street: SPT+ Parking Garage
- College and E 4th Street: BB&T Center Parking
