Humane Society’s west Charlotte Animal Resource Center nears completion

CHARLOTTE — The Humane Society of Charlotte is getting a new Animal Resource Center.

Nearly one year after breaking ground on the city’s west side, president and CEO Shelly Moore said they’re close to moving in.

“We’ve included everything you need to support your pet,” Moore said.

The new facility will house about 30,000 animals per year. The Humane Society expects construction to wrap up in the next month or two, with a grand opening slated in May.
