Hundreds of struggling families get food, household supplies at drive-through event

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Hundreds of families got help they desperately needed Thursday in Statesville.

Food, family supplies and other essential items were given away free of charge at the event at Signal Hill Mall.

“It’s just really a sad situation that people have been placed into because of COVID or other reasons, but we’re here to help,” said I-CARE executive Director Bryan Duncan.
