ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies are investigating after two hunters found adult human remains Saturday in Rowan County.

The bow hunters made the discovery near Bringle Ferry and River roads.
The Rowan County Sheriff's Office first responded to the area at about 5 p.m. Saturday and continued to investigate Sunday.
Authorities said the remains have been there for some time.
They will send the remains to the North Carolina State Medical Examiners Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
