HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville Elementary School has been placed on lockdown after reports of a bank robbery in the area.
Chopper 9 flew over the scene at the Fifth/Third Bank on Gilead Road where police said the robbery happened.
A nearby day care center was also locked down.
There are no reports of injuries.
Police are searching the area and investigating the scene.
