Catawba County Judge Robert Mullinax Jr. on Monday declared Catawba County “Panther Country."
“From this day forward, Catawba County, North Carolina, you shall be known as Panther County,” Mullinax said as the courtroom erupted in cheers.
“I wouldn’t want to be Peyton Manning in 13 days,” the judge said.
The Panthers beat the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 Sunday to advance to Super Bowl 50 where they will face the Denver Broncos on Feb. 7.
