Judge temporarily stops night hunting for coyotes

NORTH CAROLINA — A judge just issued a temporary injunction to stop coyote hunting at night in five North Carolina counties.

Night hunting was first allowed in the state this year to control the coyote population.

A judge stopped it in Dare, Tyrrell, Hyde, Washington and Beaufort counties because hunters have accidentally shot four endangered red wolves.
