Law enforcement makes arrest in commercial burglaries

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Several local law enforcement agencies collaborated to make an arrest after a series of commercial burglaries that happened in March.
 
Jack Steven Ferrell was arrested and charged with eight counts of felony breaking and entering and seven counts of larceny after breaking and entering.  
 
Investigators connected Ferrell to eight cases where about $23,000 worth of property was stolen. Ferrell is also suspected to be involved with dozens of other burglary cases, which detectives are continuing to investigate.
 
The following agencies are credited for the arrest: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department divisions, Crime Analysis, the Targeted Response Apprehension Unit, and the Huntersville, Thomasville and the Lincolnton police departments.
