HICKORY, N.C. — A lightning strike started a house fire in Hickory Thursday evening.
The homeowner told Channel 9 that he heard a loud boom and ran outside and saw the flames.
Flames shot through the roof.
The owner of the home quickly called 911.
Firefighters responded quickly to knock the fire down.
