Local mother struggling to find affordable housing gets help that made all the difference

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The COVID-19 pandemic has really shed a light on the urgent need for affordable housing in Charlotte.

So many people have lost jobs and are facing the threat of eviction.

“4 year degree. 40 years old. Been working since I was 17. This is not how I envisioned my life to be,” said mother Querida Shelton.
