Local restaurant operator teases new project in Plaza Midwood

CHARLOTTE — It appears a recently shuttered restaurant space in Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood neighborhood is about to get new life. Local entrepreneur Chet Desai, part of the team behind Para in South End, recently teased on social media that details about an upcoming project would be coming soon.

The video on Instagram clearly shows the building vacated by Lulu’s Maryland Style Chicken & Seafood, which closed in January after less than a year. That 2,800-square-foot restaurant is at 2308 Central Ave.
