Local restaurateur Jim Noble eyes fall opening for South End eatery (GENSLER)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte restaurateur Jim Noble has plans to grow his Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack brand.

Two locations — one at 2932 Griffith St. in South End and a second in Winston-Salem — are slated to open this fall. He’s partnering with Durban Hospitality Group on those ventures.

Noble says the goal is to open as many as four additional restaurants by the end of 2022, with as many as 12 possible in the Charlotte market in the future. He’s currently in talks on a half-dozen locations, including sites in Lake Norman, South Park and Rock Hill.

“I think it has a lot of potential for growth,” he says. “We’ll just take it one opportunity at a time.”
