Logging truck driver charged after flipping, spilling load in Chester

A log truck driver faces charges after his truck flipped in Chester County Friday morning, spilling all the logs he was carrying.

The truck overturned on Highway 72 a few miles north of Chester.

One lane of the road was blocked by emergency vehicles, but all the logs landed on the shoulder and some hit a telephone pole.

Troopers charged John Garrett with driving too fast for conditions and having defective equipment.

He told Channel 9 he was shaken up, but not hurt.
