NEWTON, N.C. — Long-time Newton City Attorney Larry Pitts has died.
Pitts, who worked for the city for more than 20 years, died on Wednesday.
He was a 1956 graduate of Newton-Conover High School.
The city credits Pitts' recent work with helping make improvements to the electrical system.
