CHARLOTTE — A major alcohol distributor is closing its Charlotte warehouse and laying off 39 employees.
In a notice sent to the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Republic National Distribution says it expects the facility on Northpark Boulevard, and another one in Raleigh, to be bought out.
Republic says the buyer could re-hire those employees.
